Great news for all you airsofters who are rolling in the green stuff- Pipers Precision Products has announced that they
have completed the design and manufacture of their second M134A Minigun. The M134 A2, as it has been designated, has an ammo
capacity of 6,000 6mm BB pellets. It runs on a system of compressed air tanks, hidden in the accompanying ammo-can backpack,
which power the BBs out at 3,000RPM. That's 50 rounds a second! The barrel is driven by an electric motor, and the internals
of the gun comprise a unique two-stage bolt mechanism, which ensures the gun doesn't jam up because of the excessive RPM.

The power of this new model can be adjusted between 250 and 600 fps. The higher FPS is used to shoot special steel BBs
(not for use in skirmishes!). There is a pretty sweet movie on their homepage showing the new gun laying waste to a TV set
with the steel BB function. Honestly, watch that video. The RPM is insane.
Before you start getting your hopes up, all of this matte-black,
sexy equipment will set you back over £1000, probably more. We don't know yet, as it's listed as POA on their webpage.
The gun is built to order on a custom basis, and each unit is built and assembled entirely by hand. You can choose
from two packages- one with a large backpack and fake chain-feed, with the hand-held configuration (as seen in 'Terminator
2' and 'Predator'), and the second without the backpack, but with a smaller ammo can (does the same job as the backpack by
housing the air tanks) and a tripod.
